Biography
Joseph Degbadjo is a Fashion Photographer born in Benin from Togolese Parents in West Africa .
He Spent young part in Togo with his Grand Parents from Village of Pagala then move and study in France.
He wasn't in the Photography and Fashion Industry at first as he was studying tax Law. He found himself fond of Photography the day he photographed his university friends.
He then became passionated about it. He didn't assist any photographers, but taught himself instead.
His first major commissions were to shoot Chief Alain Ducasse and for GQ , Vogue Italia and Vogue Thailand.
He quickly established himself as one of the Fashion’s new Photographer beloved by editors.
Renowned for the unique precision and the lightning of his compositions, Joseph photography has achieved recognition for the elegant and natural portrayal and for the searching of the most natural way of using materials without affecting the subject. He considers photography as a doctor making surgery: it needs to be soft and precise in order to fulfill a precise goal.
His work has been published in prestigious magazines such as Vogue Italia, Harper’s Bazaar , American Vogue, GQ and Elle .
Joseph recently had the honor to be commissioned by GQ Italia December 2019 issue for their 20th anniversary and then closed the Fashion Season before starting New Year 2020.
Joseph has photographed advertising Campaigns for leading Brands including Rolls Royce, Lacoste, Dior.
